This is a remote position.
We are looking for a skilled Unix Developer with 5â8 years of experience in C++ application development and UNIX Shell scripting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing high-performance applications on UNIX platforms and possess a strong understanding of encryption technologies and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs). Experience with secure application development and cryptographic key management is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance C++ applications for UNIX-based environments.

Write, optimize, and maintain UNIX Shell scripts (Bash, Korn Shell, or POSIX Shell) for automation, batch processing, system monitoring, and operational support.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues in UNIX environments.

Develop reusable, efficient, and reliable code following coding standards and best practices.

Implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive data at rest and in transit.

Integrate and manage Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) such as Thales, SafeNet, or Utimaco for secure cryptographic operations.

Configure and interface with HSMs using standard APIs such as PKCS#11, Microsoft CNG, or vendor-specific APIs.

Implement cryptographic functions including encryption, decryption, digital signatures, certificate management, and secure key lifecycle management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver secure, high-quality solutions.

Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and production support.
Required Skills

5â8 years of experience in UNIX application development.

Strong programming experience in C++.

Excellent knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.

Hands-on experience with UNIX Shell Scripting (Bash, Korn Shell, or POSIX Shell).

Strong understanding of system programming concepts and UNIX internals.

Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and memory management.

Good knowledge of encryption concepts, cryptographic algorithms, and secure application development.

Experience integrating and managing Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

Familiarity with PKCS#11, Microsoft CNG, OpenSSL, or similar cryptographic frameworks.
