Account Manager

Position Title: Account Manager Location: Atlanta, GA or Remote Key Responsibilities & Activities: The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of accounts (both direct and indirect) in the industrial market; responsible for driving sales growth and managing and maintaining customer satisfaction. The selected candidate will have responsibility for: •    Managing both direct account sales and sales through distribution channels; relationship management, conducting business reviews, forecasting and tracking sales volume and prices, supply reliability, ensuring timely payments.•    Primary interface for new opportunities and requests from direct consumers and from Distributors for volume-price support (opportunity assessment, competitive intelligence, response to RFQs). •    Negotiating commercial terms and supply agreements both with customers and supporting through the internal process chain. •    Resolving customer issues by acting as primary interface between the customer and internal resources (logistics, customer service, technical and finance).•    Providing market intelligence to the business (industry trends, competitive behavior, new applications).•    May provide support as required to the animal nutrition business.•    Other duties as assigned.  Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements: •    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university•    3 + years external sales experience in the chemical or industrial mineral industries required. •    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).•    Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite and experience in working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).•    Travel as needed to achieve account objectives (< 50%)•    Remote is OK, provided proximity to a major airport. Final determination on pay will be made by HR and company leadership holistically considering the candidate’s education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership and influence.
